What If an Ingredient Is Unavailable?

Sometimes a specific ingredient isn't available, whether it's missing from your kitchen or out of stock at the store.

What to do

Message your cook as soon as you're aware — many dishes can be adjusted with a reasonable substitute.

For a grocery pickup order, a store may substitute an out-of-stock item depending on the store's own substitution policy; review your order before your booking if you want to avoid substitutions.

Good to know

Your cook can advise on substitutes, but significant changes to a dish may affect timing or the final result — talking it through in advance helps.
