How Grocery Pickup Works

Grocery pickup means your cook collects a grocery order that you've already chosen and prepaid, before arriving for your booking.

How it works

You select the groceries you want and complete the order and payment yourself. Your cook then picks up that specific order on the way to your booking — they aren't doing open-ended personal shopping or choosing items on your behalf.

Grocery pickup is one of a few supported options; see Who Buys the Groceries? for the full picture.

If you choose grocery pickup by your Cook, a $10 grocery pickup fee is added to the booking. The full $10 is paid to your Cook. You still select and pay for your grocery order separately.

Good to know

Pickup availability depends on which stores are supported in your area — see Choosing a Grocery Store.

If something you ordered isn't available at pickup, see What If an Ingredient Is Unavailable?

The $10 grocery pickup fee is earned once your Cook successfully collects your order — if pickup is canceled or doesn't happen, you shouldn't ultimately be charged for it. See Refunds for the full grocery pickup fee policy.
