Reviews and Reports

Reviews and reports serve different purposes on PlatedUp: reviews share your experience for future customers, while reports flag a specific concern for PlatedUp to review.

Reviews

After a booking, you can leave a review reflecting your experience with a cook. Reviews appear on a cook's profile when available and help other customers choose a cook — see Cook Profiles and Reviews. Reviews are customer feedback, and PlatedUp may consider them alongside other information, like booking records and reports, rather than on their own.

Reviews should reflect a genuine, firsthand booking experience. Don't impersonate another person, fabricate an experience you didn't have, include harassment or threats, disclose another person's private or sensitive information, or make knowingly false statements about a Cook or Customer. Reviews shouldn't be purchased or otherwise incentivized based on giving a particular rating.

PlatedUp may remove or moderate a review that violates these standards. PlatedUp doesn't remove a review simply because it's negative, because a Cook dislikes it, or because PlatedUp disagrees with it.

Reports

If something about a booking raised a concern, a report is the right way to flag it for PlatedUp directly — see Reporting a Cook or Reporting a Safety Concern. PlatedUp reviews each report; submitting one doesn't automatically establish fault, and PlatedUp considers the available information before deciding what, if anything, happens next.
