Choosing a Cook
Every cook on PlatedUp has a profile you can review before booking, so you know who's cooking in your home before you confirm.
What to compare
- Cuisines — the types of food a cook specializes in.
- Availability — the days and times a cook can take bookings.
- Dishes — meals the cook offers, drawn from PlatedUp's dish library or added by the cook.
- Service area — whether the cook covers your location.
- Verification status — where the cook stands in PlatedUp's identity, eligibility, and background-check process.
- Customer reviews, when available.
Good to know
PlatedUp includes both trained culinary professionals and talented independent cooks. Not every cook has formal culinary training — a strong track record and verified profile matter just as much as a professional background.
If you'd rather not compare cooks yourself, Auto Match can match you with a qualified cook automatically based on your booking details.
